An amazing opportunity to support a remarkable young adult to live an independent and fulfilling life.
We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker in Scunthorpe. The role is full time on a 4:3 shift roster, you will need to work every other weekend. Shifts can be 8am to 8pm, 10:30am to 8pm or night shifts 8am to 8pm.
Pay rate £13ph week days, £14ph weekends + 12.07%
NL Group pay weekly
You will be supporting a young adult with Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy. You will be required to support with PEG, Personal care and Colostomy Care.
We will provide full training but having a foundation of knowledge is essential and experience working in homecare.
You must be over 25 for motability insurance purposes.
For Genuine Occupational Reasons (GOR) a female Support Worker is requried.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering safe, high quality personal and clinical care in line with the individual's care plan.
- Build trusting relationships with clients, offering emotional support and encouragement.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders to develop and implement personalised care plans.
- Monitor and document client progress, reporting any concerns to senior staff or healthcare professionals.
- Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all clients.
About You:
- A valid UK driving license and ability to drive automatic is essential
- Previous experience with supporting those with personal care and bowel care is essential
- PEG Care Experience
- Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care or Mental Health (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3) are an advantage.
