Digital Inclusion Officer

The Bradford District Digital Inclusion Programme is seeking two Digital Inclusion Officers to support communities in developing their digital skills. Responsibilities include outreach, event coordination, addressing digital barriers, and delivering training.

Job Introduction

We are looking for two Digital Inclusion Officers to join our dedicated digital inclusion team. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city and support our communities across the district to develop their digital inclusion skills.

The main responsibilities of this role:

  • Directly be responsible to the Digital Inclusion Manager for delivery of the Digital Inclusion Action plan across the district
  • Promote and support the Bradford District Digital Inclusion Programme and related projects through outreach and engagement
  • Act as an ambassador for Digital Inclusion, coordinating 'Digital Friends' in community organisations
  • Deliver a range of community-based digital inclusion activities
  • Understand and address individual digital inclusion barriers and needs
  • Support the design and delivery of digital access sessions, drop-ins, and events
  • Assist in identifying funding to support ongoing work
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with local organisations and partners
  • Help individuals improve their digital confidence and access to health, education, and employment opportunities
  • Deliver awareness-raising sessions and basic training using a range of digital tools and devices
  • Collect and present data, stories, and feedback to demonstrate programme impact
  • Support equality, diversity, and inclusion by targeting digital support to those most in need
  • Work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet community needs
