FULL DESCRIPTION

Position: QA Analyst

Location: Bournemouth office 3-5 days per week, up to 2 days remote working

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm (with flexi-time and hybrid working options)

Role Description:

This is an exciting role for anyone wanting to join a mature, dynamic digital agency with a 28 year track record in the local area. The right candidate will have a strong interest in digital technology and software development, with an eye for detail and a passion for continuous improvement.

As a QA Analyst you’ll join our Solutions Team and report to our Solutions Director, Phil. You’ll work alongside our friendly team of expert designers, developers, product and program managers, as well as other QA Analysts, to ensure we continue to deliver to the highest of standards for our clients.

We carry out a whole range of testing in-house, including: methodical functional testing; meticulous visual and compatibility testing; exploratory and creative smoke testing; and specialised performance and accessibility audits. This breadth provides the perfect opportunity to see ‘behind the curtain’ of modern websites and web applications, including the cutting-edge of test automation.


Responsibilities:

  • Test planning and execution; including functionality, browser and device compatibility, accessibility and performance.
  • Contribution to - and maintenance of - [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk]' test automation suite.
  • Defect reporting and management, using our Agile project management tool, TargetProcess.
  • Participation in release planning, to help guide the development team through complex business requirements.
  • Working closely with developers to manage defects through to resolution.
  • Regular internal project status reporting to the [Employer hidden] program teams.

Desirable Skills:

  • Analytical and methodical mindset, able to untangle bugs to help identify their root causes.
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems, including Sitecore, Optimizely, Sitefinity, Umbraco and/or Storyblok.
  • Understanding of modern web development languages, including HTML, CSS and Javascript.
  • Hands-on experience authoring test scripts for use with a test automation framework such as Cypress or Playwright.
  • Outstanding personal organisation, task management and data analysis skills.
