About the role

As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a key role within the Business Unit Finance function at [Employer hidden]’s Rocester site. Acting as a central point of contact for finance-related queries, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of financial data in line with the Group Finance Calendar.

This is a fast-paced role with a strong focus on continuous improvement, offering excellent exposure across finance activities and future development opportunities within a world-class, family-owned business.

What does the role involve day to day?

  • Completing weekly bank postings, month-end bank reconciliations and reporting balances to Group Finance
  • Performing monthly intercompany statement reconciliations, resolving mismatches and clearing post month-end invoices
  • Raising manual sales invoices on a weekly basis
  • Preparing monthly VAT calculations, reconciliations and reporting to Group Taxation
  • Producing accruals and prepayments, primarily linked to Accounts Payable, along with ad hoc postings as required
  • Supporting Accounts Payable by clearing parked invoices and resolving supplier queries
  • Completing external supplier statement reconciliations

This will be suited to you if…

  • You have previous experience working in a similar finance or accounting role
  • You have a high level of numeracy and are confident using Microsoft Excel
  • You have experience working to tight deadlines with strong attention to detail
  • You enjoy working as part of an established team and driving continuous improvement
  • You can prioritise your workload while adhering to Group Accounting Policies
  • Experience using SAP would be desirable
