Our client is a well-established company based in the Scarborough area. They are currently looking for a 1st Line IT Technician to join their busy IT department and support the wider business, initially on a 3 month temporary contract. Reporting to the IT manager, you will be there to offer first line support to all employees, prioritising support calls. You will be setting up hardware for new starters, including mobile phones and laptops and deploying these as required. You will also be involved in a number of projects in line with the IT strategy. That’s why we are looking for someone who has some IT experience from within a similar experience within a first line support role or has relevant qualifications, as well as a working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Office 365 and Windows Server could be beneficial. We are looking for excellent communication skills both written and verbal with strong organisational and project skills such as team working, problem solving as well as being flexible to adapt to ever changing situations and priorities. Someone who is highly motivated with plenty of initiative, a methodical approach and the accuracy to match. This amazing opportunity will suit someone who has the ambition to develop and grow in this role, so a positive attitude to become part of the broader team within the company is important, as is the desire to develop personally and take accountability for the role. This role is 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, you will need to be on site due to the nature of the work, with 20 days holiday plus bank holidays per year.
