Mechanical Project Engineer/ Junior Project Manager – Main Contractor West London – High End Residential (£30m) Perm – £60-£70k A dynamic, progressing and forward thinking Main Contractor with a turnover of around £70m and ambitious growth plans requires a Mechanical Project Engineer/Junior Mechanical project Manager to join its team on a high end residential project located in West London, which is currently in the procurement stage. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering within the MEP contracting or building services sector and will play a key role in assisting the mechanical lead manager on the project. The company is known for being very flexible and supportive, offering opportunities for working from home and providing hands-on support with training and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the mechanical aspects of the residential project, ensuring all works are completed to the highest standards.
  • Assist in the procurement process, including selecting and managing subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Work closely with the design team to develop mechanical systems that meet project requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
  • Regularly visit the project site to monitor progress, address any issues, and ensure effective communication between all parties.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks to project delivery, ensuring proactive problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, specifications, and as-built drawings.
  • Ensure all mechanical engineering activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
