FULL DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following
Develop resourcing plans for bids across Infrastructure, allocating internal resource and managing any external requirement
Lead workshops and reviews as required in support of the bid writing team
Ensure process is followed on each bid, including governance and review elements
Research and identify potential bid opportunities in the industry. Collaborate with subject matter experts and key stakeholders to gather necessary information for bids.
Write, edit, and proofread high-quality bid documents, proposals, and presentations.
Ensure all bids are submitted on time and meet all requirements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Act as a spokesperson for the company as required, representing its values and interests in public and industry forums.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with strategic objectives.
Manage the proposals department’s budget efficiently, ensuring the optimal allocation of resources.
Provide regular budget reports and recommendations for optimisation.
To contribute to larger Infrastructure wide projects and work in partnership with other colleagues.
By personal example and quality of contribution, promote a culture of continuous improvement and business excellence.
Responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of events.
Any other duties commensurate with the role and grade as necessary.
Skills, experience and qualifications
Proven experience in bid writing and bid management, with a track record of successful outcomes.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Knowledge and understanding of bid processes.
Proficiency in using communication and project management tools/software.
Creative and strategic thinking, with a results-oriented mindset.
Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
Demonstrated expertise in crafting compelling narratives and proposals.
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with attention to detail.
Exceptional project management and organisational abilities.
Desirable
Knowledge of Infrastructure sectors (Rail, Energy, Highways)
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
