GROUND WORKER

The successful candidate will assist in various tasks on a construction site, performing manual labour and supporting skilled tradesmen and site supervisors. The role involves many responsibilities, including site preparation, material handling, and assisting with building, demolition, and other construction activities to ensure that projects are completed safely and on time.

Job Description

The successful candidate will assist in various tasks on a construction site, performing manual labour and supporting skilled tradesmen and site supervisors. The role involves many responsibilities, including site preparation, material handling, and assisting with building, demolition, and other construction activities to ensure that projects are completed safely and on time.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and clean construction sites by removing debris, dirt, and other materials to create a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Assist with digging trenches, clearing areas for foundations, and levelling the ground.
  • Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment to and from the site, ensuring materials are stored properly and are easily accessible.
  • Assist with managing material deliveries and stockpiling materials for use on-site.
  • Working alongside tradespeople and specialists to assist with construction tasks.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines and wear the appropriate PPE
  • Keep the worksite organized and clean, ensuring that all areas are free from hazards and debris.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working on construction sites.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with the team.

Experience:

  • Construction: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • CSCS (preferred)
  • Driving Licence (preferred)

Expected hours: 40.5 per week
