The Role
The Estimator will play a key role in producing accurate project costings and supporting tendering activity for a range of roofing and construction projects. Working closely with operational and commercial teams, this role ensures bids are competitive, compliant, and aligned with company standards.
Key Responsibilities of the Estimator:
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for roofing and construction projects.
- Support the preparation and submission of tenders and proposals.
- Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to ensure quality and compliance.
- Monitor costs and identify opportunities for value engineering.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes and commercial efficiency.
Candidate Profile
The ideal Estimator will bring strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and excellent communication skills, with proven experience in construction estimation.
Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in roofing or construction estimating.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Proficiency with estimating and project management software.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and collaborate effectively across teams.
