About the role

Because of [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk]’s reputation for being one of the best specialist colleges for young adults with disabilities, our student recruitment, admissions and assessments team is flat out dealing with enquiries from parents and prospective parents and are working tirelessly to support our students on their journey as they plan to join us, progress on their learning journey with us and transition to new opportunities as they complete their time at the college.

Your previous experience of working with young people with disabilities in a care or in an educational setting will be important as you handle initial enquiries and follow through the process of the assessment of the students’ needs to ensure that we can provide the level of care and education to enable the students to have a positive and rewarding experience with us. You will support students and their families through the enrolment process and guide them through their transitions into college life.

The ability to initiate and develop partnership working, a high level of communication skills and excellent networking skills are essential to work with internal and external agencies and to provide person centred support to students and parents as they journey through the process.

It goes without saying that you will need to be IT literate with a high level of attention to detail as you will oversee the effective administration of Pre-College Entry Assessment information, including the writing of care plans and handover documents, assisting with the chairing of baseline reviews and the coordination of respite bookings.

This is a temporary, part time role working an average of 24 hours a week over 44 weeks working 3 days per week ideally Wednesday - Friday, although we could be flexible for the right candidate.
