FULL DESCRIPTION
Job Title –Commissioning Engineer
Their Purpose – Their mission is to deliver what the world needs most – substantial and scalable carbon removal. Through a combination of our their projects and consultancy services, they transform waste biomass into valuable biochar.
Location &, flexibility –Maidenhead - hybrid - 1-3 times per week
Salary & Benefits –Up to £80k, annual bonus, private medical insurance, 25 days + BH, pension + more
About the Job:
- Liaise with project partners and fabricators to specify equipment required for projects
- Conduct site visits to assess equipment required and suitability for sites for equipment.
- Support the fabricator in the final assembly and Factory Acceptance Testing of biochar production equipment
- Lead the delivery, install and commissioning of biochar production equipment across the UK.
- Remotely monitor biochar production equipment to ensure smooth running
- Identify areas for improvement in the equipment
- Collaborate with the wider team and fabricator to assist the building of the company.
About you:
- Education: Diploma or degree in engineering
- Experience:
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in agricultural or industrial equipment design, fabrication and/or install & commissioning.
- Experience in a related industry including, biomass handling, biomass processing (drying / chipping), biomass boilers, industrial/agricultural equipment installation, agricultural/industrial machinery.
- Skills: Proven ability to install and commission biomass processing equipment.
- Preferable (non essential) skills: CAD design skills, PLC programming skills, electrical cabinet design skills, fabrication skills, understanding pyrolysis or gasification.
- Knowledge: Good understanding of the UK agricultural and industrial machinery including understanding the current key players within the industry and product types available on the market.
