Job Title –Project Engineer  

Their Purpose –A growing company who provide a complete turnkey solution for landowners, SMEs and Large corporates to help meet their financial demands, energy needs and environmental responsibilities through renewable energy.

Location &, flexibility –Wadebridge, Cornwall – Office based with flexibility to visit sites across the UK.

Salary –Up to £35k depending on experience  

About the Job –

As a Project Engineer, you will sit within the technical team and play a key role in supporting wind farm projects through the Development, Construction and Operational phases. You’ll provide high-quality engineering support, ensuring projects are technically sound, cost-effective and delivered to the highest safety and quality standards.

  • Produce optimised wind farm site layout drawings, including access modifications, swept path analysis, and legal and planning drawings
  • Estimate and track project costs, identifying opportunities to reduce cost through design optimisation
  • Support projects in development and under construction, maintaining the highest Health, Safety and Quality standards
  • Identify and reduce technical and delivery risk through robust, practical design solution
  • Provide technical input to early-stage and pre-planning projects
  • Procure and coordinate third-party technical services
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and procedures

About you –

  • Highly proficient in AutoCAD and vehicle tracking software
  • Basic understanding of onshore wind development and construction processes
  • Methodical, accurate and detail-focused approach to work
  • Awareness of CDM regulations
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to prioritise and manage a demanding workload
  • Flexible to travel to project sites across the UK

Desirable –

  • In-depth knowledge of transport and construction methods for onshore wind projects
  • Familiarity with wind farm BoP and TSA contracts
  • Civil3D and Infraworks proficiency
  • Surveying and/or setting out experience
