Job Title –  Solar O&M Site Labourer  

 

Their Purpose – A developer, owner, and operator of solar projects delivering reliable, clean energy across the UK. Their mission is to harness the power of the sun to support a sustainable future by providing affordable renewable energy to communities and businesses nationwide.

 

Location &, flexibility – Site-based with nationwide travel. Monday-Friday working away from home required.

About the Job:

 

As a Solar O&M Site Labourer, you will support the Operations & Maintenance team with day-to-day activities across solar sites nationwide. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong work ethic, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work effectively as part of a site-based team.

 

You will assist with general site duties including maintenance, repairs, vegetation management, and site safety, ensuring solar assets remain operational, safe, and well maintained.

  • Comply with all company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures
  • Carry out general repairs and maintenance on site infrastructure
  • Support basic maintenance activities on solar systems under supervision
  • Maintain vegetation control around solar arrays in line with safe working practices
  • Operate site machinery and hand tools including strimmers, leaf blowers, and brush cutters (training provided)
  • Maintain site security by repairing and maintaining fences and gates
  • Ensure site cleanliness and safe access at all times
  • Complete mandatory training and obtain required certifications
  • Drive a company van to transport tools, equipment, and materials (work use only)
  • Tow trailers where required to support site operations

  • Reliable, conscientious, and hard-working
  • Able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a team
  • Previous experience working on solar farms or similar outdoor construction environments
  • Full, valid UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK
