Job Title – Lead Process Operator
Their Purpose – A pioneering deep-tech R&D company developing breakthrough technology to permanently mineralise CO? in concrete, driving global decarbonization.
Location & flexibility – Nottingham, UK.
Salary & Benefits – £45,000–£65,000 per year plus performance bonuses, stock options/equity, private health insurance, pension plan, generous annual leave, free food and snacks
About the Job –
- Lead commissioning and operation of a pilot-scale plant transitioning to commercial scale.
- Recruit, coach, and manage a small team of plant operators.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, shift scheduling, and contractor coordination.
- Operate plant safely and efficiently, including data collection and troubleshooting.
- Manage maintenance, calibration, and permit-to-work processes.
About you –
- 5+ years’ experience operating pilot or commercial plants.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Technical competence in electrical, mechanical, operations, or instrumentation.
- Familiarity with COMAH Tier 2 safety practices.
- Practical, hands-on approach with flexibility for occasional non-standard hours.
- Full UK driving license.
