FULL DESCRIPTION
Senior Residential Children’s Worker
We are working in partnership with a provider of children’s services to recruit a Senior Residential Children’s Worker for their home in Wigan, Greater Manchester. You will be part of a dedicated team supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) within a nurturing residential environment.

Key responsibilities:
- Lead shifts and ensure the welfare and safety of young people and staff at all times.
- Participate in staff meetings and supervisions.
- Support with staff performance and ensure the team are updated on procedural changes.
- Deliver person-centred support in line with individual care plans.
- Safeguard vulnerable children and report any concerns appropriately.
- Liaise with parents, carers, and other professionals.
- Ensure confidentiality and professionalism are maintained at all times.
- Be flexible to cover other homes when required.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and training.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Experience within the children’s residential care sector.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
