Cover Supervisor required in Leeds!

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Group is recruiting for an experienced Cover Supervisor in the Leeds area to join the schools internal cover team to work with various Key Stages within Secondary education.

As a Cover Supervisor you will be required to manage a classroom, ensuring that students remain on task. You will act as an unqualified teacher delivering the lessons the teacher has planned.

The role is long term, full time, Monday to Friday starting ASAP.

The Role:

• Manage the classroom, ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set.
• Cover teaching absences, whether with advance notice or on the same day.
• Cover a variety of lessons including English, PE, Science, Maths and Humanities.
• Managing behaviour of pupils.
• Supporting students in their learning.

You will not have to plan or mark work. We are only looking for those who are enthusiastic about working with children and young people.

Requirements:

• Have a confident and positive approach to working with children.
• Be keen to learn and develop professionally.
• Be pro-active team member, committed to raising standards and achievements.
• Recognise the uniqueness of each child and reflect this in their practice.
• Ability to carry out daily tasks.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to carry one out.
• At least 6 months experience working with children and young people.
