Teaching Assistant (TA) required, Wakefield!

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Group are currently looking for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant (TA) in Wakefield. We are working with a mainstream Primary School in the Wakefield area who are looking to recruit an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work within EYFS, KS1, & KS2, supporting both the full classes and small groups at different points of the week.

As a Level 3 TA (Teaching Assistant) you will support both the class teachers in full class/small group work and one to one support.

The Role:

• Be able to adapt to the needs of the child in lessons and assist them in their school day.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage the children to stay on task.
• Clarifying and explaining any questions or instructions given to the pupil.
• Support the class teacher with any additional duties.
• Full time, Monday to Friday, starting ASAP, on a temporary contract.

Requirements:

• Level 3 qualification – CACHE, NCFE, Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
• Recent experience in a school in the UK supporting primary aged students is essential.
• Experience working with SEN education is ideal.
• Team Teach training is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to build a strong, professional rapport with children and staff.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to carry one out.
