Workshop Mechanic
The successful candidate’s role will be to perform maintenance duties on a variety of equipment within [Employer hidden]’s Drumoak base. On a day-to-day basis the role will involve maintaining a range of hydraulic equipment, diesel engines, rotating equipment and pumps. The right person must be self-motivated and enjoy working on such equipment.
- Servicing and maintenance of equipment
- Overhaul of equipment
- Assembly of new build equipment
- Working with the maintenance management system
- Lead and work with trainee/apprentices
This would suit a candidate with the following qualities:
- Experience of hydraulics is essential
- Prior experience of drilling equipment maintenance (Pumps, rotaries, hydraulic powerpacks, etc)
- Hands on approach with a can-do attitude
- High level of attention to detail
- Takes pride in their work
- Self-motivated, driven and determined.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Experience:
Time served apprenticeship in a relevant discipline, or extensive experience in a similar role.
The following or equivalent courses are desirable
- BFPA Hydraulics Level 1/2
- Hydraulic Hose Assembly Course
