Description

To work closely with the Children's and Youth Leader to help deliver this work in the church and community, ensuring that the work is integral to the wider work of the church

To help organise and run children's midweek activities

To assist in planning and running Messy Church and Play and Praise

To help plan and deliver school work including assemblies & lunch club in two local primary schools and the local secondary school

To help keep and maintain records of attendance and develop a contacts database

To support and develop team volunteers and help identify and equip future volunteers

To help plan and deliver one off events

To help maintain a live social media presence through the church Facebook and YouTube channel

To help maintain advertising for events for the department

Essential Criteria

Evidence of personal commitment to grow in your Christian faith

Have a knowledge and understanding of the bible and the ability to teach and covey this creatively in age appropriate ways

Ability to communicate effectively with children and families

Good organisational skills and the ability to self motivate

Ability to plan and deliver activities and events for children and young families

Have a passion to share the good news about Jesus and see a generation changed

Preferred Criteria

To be become a worshipping member of our church community

Creative skills (e.g. drama, music, art, design, media)

Ability to work with multimedia and technology and its applications

Experienced in mentoring young people

DRAFT TIME TABLE FOR TRAINEE

Monday day Cluster & 1/2 day study

Tuesday AM admin time (Planning & preparing), PM School Assembly EVE off

Wednesday Day off

Thursday Am Set up and planning, Eve Growth Group

Friday AM Set up and planning, PM: Exmouth CC, EVE Children and Youth clubs

Saturday AM: Messy church & Play & Praise (once a month), PM & EVE off

Sunday AM: Junior Church or attend/participate in main service, PM & EVE off
