A challenging and exciting opportunity to be part of a church that is seeking to go deep in discipleship and wide in mission across Helston, the Lizard and surrounding area.

We are committed to providing an opportunity to deepen your discipleship and discover and explore the gifts God has given you. Gaining skills in christian ministry and leadership that will set you up for a lifelong ministry into whatever and wherever God calls you.

At present this will include: Contributing to the ongoing work of the church, particularly with our children, youth, and communications teams. Working with our youth pastor and our children and youth teams to further reach, nurture, and deepen the faith of children and young people both within and outside our worshipping community. Seeking and developing further ways that we can reach our local community with the Good News and engage our centre with missional activity.

Essential Criteria

• Must have an active Christian faith.
• An eager attitude to learn and grow.
• A willingness to try new things and develop the gifts you have.
• Committed to work healthily with those in leadership.
• Committed to work within all church policies e.g safeguarding and health and safety.
• Reliable.

Preferred Criteria

• An eagerness not just to be a team player but to learn how this is developed.
• To enjoy learning and growing.
• Able to receive constructive feedback and ask for clarity and help as often as needed.
• Experience working with children.

Accommodation Details

Accomodation with a host family/couple from the church can be provided as required.

Week Overview

• Monday: Cluster/Study/Free
• Tuesday: Meeting/Prep or School Ministry/Free
• Wednesday: School Ministry/Free/Sport Club
• Thursday: Parent and Toddler Group/Free/Study
• Friday: Prep/Free/ Youth Club or Children's Club
• Saturday: Day Off
• Sunday: Church/Free/Youth Event or Discipleship Group
