About the [Employer hidden]: The [Employer hidden] is a hub of inspiration where artists and emerging talent create extraordinary work and where young people can grow creatively as individuals. By giving young people the chance to engage with the arts through our music, media and performance projects, we inspire them to reach further, dream bigger, and achieve more. The Role As a Handyperson, you will be maintaining the entire [Employer hidden] estate as part of a team. This comprises the Main Space venue – a Grade 2* listed building, a studio theatre, the Creative Studios, bars, a café, a service yard, an office building and [Employer hidden] works. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will be tasked with varied jobs across the estate. We are looking for someone who is able to do the following, but not be exclusive to. General repairs & maintenance Completing minor plumbing repairs, such as fixing dripping taps and running toilet cisterns Painting and decoration Cover during [Employer hidden] gigs and events, first point of contact for issues Manual handling of items across the site and supporting other teams where necessary Support in furniture setup where required Fitting shelves, whiteboards, tv’s, etc Undertaking basic gardening duties Undertaking PPM’s such as weekly fire tests, tap temperature testing, H&S checks, H&S admin and form filling, PAT test (Training will be given) Light bulb replacements About you: You will have: Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, heating systems/ cooling systems & BMS Attention to detail, but also the ability to see the implications for the bigger picture We welcome applications from people who feel they can bring their own skills, experiences and ideas to the table and empower those around them to do the same.
