We are seeking enthusiastic and flexible team members to join our workforce providing support to adults with learning disabilities and/or mental health issues in a supported living environment and in the local community to enable people to achieve their personal goals.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Promoting independence
- Identify and support activities and interests
- Promote and provide support for individuals to access a range of social, leisure, employment and educations activities
- Support to individuals to enable them to manage their own household and finances
- Support for personal care and administration of medication
The Person
No previous experience is required. What are important to us are the life skills you can bring to this role. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Essential requirements
- Good interpersonal skills
- The ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- The ability to work independently and make decisions
- Be willing to work in a service that operates 24/7
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of learning disability, mental health and related conditions
Desirable requirements
- Experience of supporting individuals within a social care or health care setting within the community
- Working as part of a team in delivering social care or health related services
- Experience of supporting people with learning disabilities or mental health conditions

We operate a rota system which will include shifts during the day, evenings, night and weekends. As an employer we can offer you:

Rates of Pay
£6.60 to £6.90 per hour – unqualified rate on entry £6.70 to £7.00 per hour – unqualified rate – on completion of probationary period £6.90 to £7.15 per hour – level 2 in Health & Social Care (payable on entry if qualification already held) £7.25 to £7.35 per hour – level 3 in Health & Social Care (payable on entry if qualification already held)
