Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

Cobalt are working with a growing real estate developer is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial management of residential-led projects across London.

This is a well-funded and expanding development platform delivering projects across residential and hospitality sectors. The business offers strong exposure to live schemes and a collaborative, delivery-focused culture.

The role

You will play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of projects from procurement through to final account.

• Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans and financial forecasts.
• Support tendering, procurement and subcontractor negotiation.
• Administer contracts including JCT and NEC forms.
• Manage valuations, payment applications and final accounts.
• Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Produce financial reports and cost analysis for stakeholders.
• Assess and manage cost implications of design or construction changes.

Skills & experience

• Working knowledge of quantity surveying within construction or development.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes.
• Commercial awareness with strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project priorities.
• Relevant degree or professional accreditation (e.g. MRICS) is advantageous.
