About the Role

An established multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to strengthen its Environmental Impact Assessment team due to a strong and growing project pipeline. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior to Principal EIA professional to take the next step in their career, working on a diverse range of complex housing developments and infrastructure/renewables schemes across the UK.

Projects currently include strategic urban extensions, large-scale residential developments, town centre regeneration, mixed-use masterplans, and selected infrastructure and energy schemes.

The Role

As a Senior to Principal EIA Consultant, you will play a key role in managing and delivering impact assessment projects from inception through to submission.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and coordinating EIA projects, particularly for major development schemes
  • Acting as primary author and editor of Environmental Statements and related documentation
  • Managing multidisciplinary inputs and reviewing specialist technical chapters
  • Liaising with clients, design teams, planning authorities and consultees
  • Overseeing project programmes, budgets and invoicing
  • Supporting fee proposals, tender submissions and business development activities
  • Attending networking and industry engagement events

About You

You will be degree qualified in environmental science or a related discipline and bring:

  • Approximately 4+ years' experience within a consultancy environment
  • A strong track record of delivering proportionate EIAs on complex UK projects
  • Solid understanding of EIA Regulations and the UK planning system
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (or working towards chartership)
  • Excellent written, analytical and organisational skills
  • A proactive, commercially aware and detail-focused approach
