My client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Credit Controller to join a well-established Finance team. This role sits within the Credit Management function and plays a key part in supporting the firm's cash flow through effective collections, stakeholder engagement, and financial administration.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional looking to broaden their experience within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
The Role
- Proactively manage and chase overdue debt via phone and email
- Liaise with fee earners and billing teams to resolve invoice disputes
- Manage the accounts receivable inbox and respond to queries
- Allocate cash receipts accurately and clear suspense accounts
- Maintain and update debtor records within NetSuite
- Assist with monthly client statement runs
- Prepare debtor and credit reports for internal stakeholders
- Provide bank details to clients when required
- Review and approve supplier bank details on systems
- Support audit requests and ad-hoc finance queries
- Work closely with internal teams (including Executive Assistants and Coordinators) to ensure invoice accuracy
- Maintain supplier portal information and firm records
About You
- Previous experience in credit control and sales/purchase ledger
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage a busy workload
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and finance systems
- Experience with NetSuite and/or QlikView is advantageous
- Understanding of credit metrics (e.g. DSO) is beneficial
- Reconciliation experience is desirable
Location: Hybrid 3 days per week in the office and 2 days WFH per week
