About the Role

An international project management and construction business is looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to support the growth of its UK operations. This is a pivotal, front-end role focused on establishing market presence, developing client relationships, and securing new business across commercial interiors, fit-out, and project management sectors.

You will act as the company's primary commercial representative in the UK, working closely with an established international delivery team to build a sustainable pipeline and support long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across commercial interiors, retail fit-out, construction, and project management
  • Build and maintain relationships with developers, clients, project managers, architects, consultants, and contractors
  • Act as the on-the-ground representative, maintaining strong market visibility across active and upcoming projects
  • Generate new opportunities while leveraging an existing base of warm leads
  • Monitor procurement pipelines, tenders, and framework opportunities
  • Position the business as a delivery partner for both UK-based and international clients
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking forums, and client meetings
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align opportunities with delivery capability
  • Support the preparation of bids, tenders, and commercial proposals
  • Provide market insight on competitors, pricing, and client expectations
  • Build strategic partnerships to drive long-term pipeline
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to unlock high-value opportunities

Candidate Profile

  • Proven business development experience within construction, interiors, fit-out, or project management
  • Strong network across developers, consultants, architects, or contractors
  • Comfortable operating in a client-facing, autonomous role
  • Commercially driven with a track record of generating and converting opportunities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, suited to a growing business environment

Salary & Package

  • £40,000 - £45,000 base (flexible for exceptional candidates)
  • Performance-based commission/bonus (to be shaped)
  • Clear progression into a leadership role as the business grows
