Early Years Practitioner – Hove, Brighton BN3

We are seeking a passionate Early Years Practitioner to join our small and friendly nursery in Hove, BN3.

This role is based within our small Pre-School room and is ideal for a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable practitioner who is eager to make a positive impact on children’s early learning. We offer ongoing training, professional development, and genuine opportunities for career progression.

This role is suitable for both newly qualified practitioners and those seeking to grow their experience within a supportive team.

Salary: Up to £13.00 per hour / £27,040pa (depending on age, qualification, and experience)

Hours: 4 days a week | 40 hours | 7:30am–6:00pm | Permanent, all year round

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality early education for children aged 3–4 years
  • Act as a key person, observing and supporting children’s development
  • Plan and lead engaging indoor and outdoor activities
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and the nursery team
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health, and safety
  • Contribute ideas to continuously enhance the learning environment

About You

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (full and relevant)
  • Experience working in an early years or nursery setting
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Passionate about inclusive, child-centred learning
  • Eligible to work in the UK
