Early Years Practitioner – Catford, London, SE6

Salary: Up to £13.75 per hour / Up to £28,600p.a. (Depending on experience)

Hours: 40 hrs per week, 4 or 5 days, Shifts 7:30am–6pm

We are looking for a qualified, experienced, creative and enthusiastic candidate to join our family! In this role you will work alongside the 2rd in charge, based in the toddler room.

Responsibilities

  • Be a reliable member of the team, working cooperatively and with flexibility.
  • To ensure regular communication and interaction with parents to update them on their child’s progress.
  • Supervise children at play indoor and outdoor, and at mealtimes to ensure safety.
  • Work with the team to ensure that the children’s work is displayed effectively.
  • Ensure that any food served is monitored and we conform to Food Safety regulations.
  • Take responsibility for a planned programme of activities for the children, following the EYFS framework.
  • To take charge of own key worker group and inform parents and other staff of any other relevant information.
  • Maintain children’s records inclusive of observations and their next steps.

About You

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare, which must be full and relevant.
  • Experience as a Nursery Practitioner or similar role
  • Strong communication skills & a passion for childcare
  • Team-focused, creative and flexible
  • Eligible to work in the UK
