Responsibilities
- Provide strong and visible leadership across a large nursing, residential and dementia service
- Drive improvements in quality, compliance and overall home performance
- Lead the home through a structured turnaround and stabilisation plan
- Maintain and improve CQC standards and governance frameworks
- Lead recruitment, retention and development of the staff team
- Foster a positive culture centred on resident wellbeing and staff engagement
- Build relationships with families, healthcare professionals and key stakeholders
- Ensure effective management of occupancy, staffing and operational performance
The Candidate
To be considered for this position, you will bring:
- Previous experience as a Registered Home Manager within elderly care (essential)
- Background managing nursing, dementia and residential services
- Experience managing larger homes (60+ beds)
- Demonstrable success in turnaround or complex environments
- Strong understanding of CQC standards and regulatory frameworks
- Proven leadership capability with a focus on team development and culture
- Commercial awareness and ability to drive operational improvements
The ideal candidate will be a visible, hands-on leader, capable of rebuilding structure, engaging teams and delivering sustainable improvement within a demanding environment.
This role is commutable from:
Liverpool, Warrington, Wigan, St Helens, Widnes, Runcorn, Southport, Ormskirk, Preston and surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Home Manager to take leadership of a large-scale service requiring operational improvement.
With strong senior leadership support and the autonomy to implement change, the successful candidate will play a key role in stabilising the home, improving standards and unlocking future growth potential.
In exchange, you will be offered a salary of £70,000 + £75,000 + benefits, with flexibility for the right individual.
