Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a Clinical Lead to oversee a caseload of community complex care packages across the Southwest region, primarily covering Cornwall and Devon. The organisation delivers care to individuals with a wide range of complex conditions including brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, motor neuron disease, muscular dystrophy and other neurological conditions. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring safe, effective, and person-centred care delivery across the region.
Working Pattern & Location:
This is a hybrid, full-time position offering flexibility with autonomously managing your diary across home working and community visits in Cornwall and Devon:
- 2–3 days working from home
- 2–3 days visiting clients in the community
- Monday to Friday working pattern
- 1 in 7 weeks on-call (phone-based only, no travel required)
- Time in lieu provided for on-call commitments
Travel time is factored into working hours, with accommodation provided for journeys exceeding two hours where required.
About The Role:
As Clinical Lead, you will manage a caseload of typically 8 to 10 complex care packages across the Southwest region, providing clinical oversight, governance, and leadership to ensure high-quality service delivery.
You will conduct client assessments, review care plans, support staff training, and provide clinical supervision to nursing and care staff. You will also collaborate closely with families, commissioners, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure person-centred outcomes are achieved.
This is a highly autonomous role suited to someone who enjoys community-based clinical leadership, service development, and building strong stakeholder relationships.
Criteria:
Essential:
- Registered Nurse (Adult preferred; Paediatric nurses considered with relevant experience)
- Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience
- Experience within complex care, acute hospital settings (ITU, HDU, A&E etc.), or community environments
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Passion for person-centred care
Desirable:
- Experience within community complex care
- Clinical competencies such as tracheostomy or ventilator care (training provided if not)
Salary & Benefits:
- Up to £48,000 per annum
- Discretionary bonus scheme
- 25 days annual leave + the 8 bank holidays
- Mileage paid at 45p per mile
