Home Manager | Elderly Nursing Home

Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum + Bonus
Location: Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire

The home holds a Good CQC rating and maintains strong occupancy, supported by an excellent reputation locally. Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and services for all residents.
  • Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a multidisciplinary team. Promote a positive working environment that encourages teamwork, development, and professional growth.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage the home’s budget, monitor expenditure, and ensure financial sustainability. Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation.
  • Family & Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with residents’ families, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction. Represent the home within the community and maintain a positive external image.
  • Quality Improvement: Continually assess and improve the quality of care and services, implementing best practice and innovative approaches to enhance the resident experience.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RGN) with an active NMC PIN.
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ managerial experience within an elderly nursing home environment as a Home Manager.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Solid understanding of CQC regulations and quality frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
