Apprentice Mechanical Draughtsman (AMD)

Train to become a fully qualified Mechanical Design Engineer at [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Ltd. You will join our Engineering team in the Drawing Office, providing solutions for requirements, working to high standards and ensuring our presses provide the service required by our customers. The ideal applicant will be proactive, organised and passionate about providing solutions.

Train to become a fully qualified Mechanical Design Engineer at [Employer hidden] Ltd. You will join our Engineering team in the Drawing Office, providing solutions for requirements, working to high standards and ensuring our presses provide the service required by our customers

The ideal applicant will be proactive, organised and passionate about providing solutions.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Using latest CAD software, under the supervision of the Engineering team producing 3D models and 2D layouts.
Design and manufacturing drawings to the latest drawing standards.
Implement engineering design changes in accordance with ISO procedures.
Working closely with production assembly dept., suppliers and clients to produce an effective product.
There will be opportunities to follow the build and commissioning of the end product, gaining practical experience in the factory.
Hands-on training learning in detail the flexographic printing process.
On completion of suitable training this may involve travel and visits to customer sites and exhibitions in the UK or potentially overseas.
Defect closure in an effective and timely manner whilst adhering to strict project deadlines.
Preparation of and conducting machine Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and/or Site Acceptance Tests (SATs) resulting in successful machine sign-off
On and off-site technical and training assistance in support of [Employer hidden] and its customers.

Performance Management:

The applicant will be performance managed through a set of dedicated milestones in conjunction with business and college expectations. This will include, but is not limited to, meeting college deadlines for coursework and adhering to company policy and procedure whilst diligently completing all necessary documents to a high standard.

The performance of the Apprentice Mechanical Draughtsman will be tied into the wider departmental KPI’s and therefore will be entitled to any departmental bonuses or reward schemes.
