FULL DESCRIPTION

Live Events Technical Project Manager

The International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Live Events Project Manager to join our team. The post holder will report to and work closely alongside the Senior Technical Manager and will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing live events from conception to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans for event delivery, outlining technical requirements, timelines and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all technical aspects are aligned with event objectives.
  • Oversee the design, setup, and operation of technical systems, including audio, visual, lighting, and network equipment.
  • Collaborate with vendors to produce necessary equipment and services, negotiating contracts and managing relationships.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality. Optimise resource utilisation, identifying opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • A proven track record of successful project management in the live events industry.
  • Strong organisation skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • A willingness to travel internationally. The nature of the role also necessitates occasional out-of-hours and weekend work.
