The International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) is the world’s leading international think tank providing independent and objective information and analysis on military, geopolitical and geo-economic developments that could lead to conflict. The Institute is seeking to appoint a Media and Digital Coordinator to join our Communications team. Your responsibilities will include creating communication plans to support delivery of campaigns, undertaking analysis and creating reports to track performance and demonstrate the impact of our work. You will support the Press and Media Manager in the effective delivery of media relations and be responsible for the daily monitoring reports. #### Responsibilities: - Working with the Head of Communications to plan and implement PR campaigns to build and maintain IISS’ image and reputation. - Working with the Press and Media Manager to prepare press materials, such as press releases, project narratives, and images, as well as media lists for dialogues and helping to maintain the CRM. - Working with the Digital Manager to draft digital content and support production across channels, including proofreading and editing promotional materials. - Preparing a daily media monitoring report to issue to all colleagues, a weekly report for the Head of Comms, and quarterly Media Trustee reports for the Head and Director. - Responding to media enquiries and assisting in organising media events. - Undertake analysis of data from multiple web analytics sources, e.g. Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, YouTube Analytics. - Supporting digital communications to assess the impact of and to enhance their activities across the IISS website and social media platforms, with SEO keyword research and campaign tracking and reporting, including paid campaigns. #### Requirements: - Experience of using analytics tools for monitoring, reporting and evaluation. - Thorough understanding and track record of using Excel, Smartsheets, plus other relevant data management tools. - Excellent ability to analyse and interpret complex information, and to present this in a clear and engaging way to colleagues. - Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage tasks within agreed deadlines. - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively. - High levels of self-motivation, initiative and ability to work autonomously and flexibly. - Demonstrable understanding of web and social media analytics tools and an inbuilt curiosity for digging into data at a granular level (e.g .Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, YouTube Analytics, Twitter Analytics). - A love of technology and an aptitude for technical exploration; whilst there is no requirement for any coding knowledge, it always helps to understand how the fundamental infrastructures of the internet, websites, and digital platforms work. #### Remuneration: The IISS provides a full employment package.
