FULL DESCRIPTION
Junior Advisor (Research), Digital Project, AHEL
Hours: Full-time
Contract: Fixed-term, 1 year
Location: London
Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection and analysis of data related to cyber-relevant geopolitical events, defence economic trends and broader security issues.
- Responsible for the meticulous management of data as it pertains to our core research focus, ensuring its accuracy, relevance and accessibility.
- Collaborate with technology teams to innovate and enhance proprietary tools, enabling more efficient data processing and richer analytical insights for client deliverables and strategic decision-making.
- Contribute to the preparation of briefs and reports under the guidance of senior team members. Ensure that all materials are accurate, up-to-date, and formatted according to IISS standards.
- Support cross functional engagement with other IISS departments to integrate and leverage diverse expertise, enhancing the overall quality and impact of the team’s analyses. Attend and contribute to team meetings and brainstorming sessions, ensuring that personal inputs align with team goals and client expectations.
- Ad-hoc tasks as required.
Requirements
- Completion of a master’s degree in a relevant field, or relevant professional experience.
- Experience of research and analysis, and disseminating conclusions in written and verbal forms.
- Experience in using or contributing to database products.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- May have experience researching cyber, emerging technologies, or defence economics and related security issues.
