The International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) is seeking a Comms Media and Digital Analyst to join their Communications team in London. The role involves analyzing data from web analytics, supporting digital communications with SEO and campaign tracking, reporting on digital and media activity, and supporting wider Comms team activities.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
- Undertake analysis of data from multiple web analytics sources.
- Support digital communications with SEO keyword research and campaign tracking.
- Report on digital and media activity in easily understandable formats.
- Support wider activity in the Comms team, including publishing digital and social content and helping with events.
Requirements
- Experience using analytics tools for monitoring, reporting and evaluation.
- Thorough understanding and track record of using Excel, plus other relevant data management tools.
- Excellent ability to analyse and interpret complex information, and to present this in a clear and engaging way to colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage tasks within agreed deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
- High levels of self-motivation, initiative and ability to work autonomously and flexibly.
- Demonstrable understanding of web and social media analytics tools and an inbuilt curiosity for digging into data at a granular level (e.g .Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, YouTube Analytics, Twitter Analytics).
- A love of technology and an aptitude for technical exploration; whilst there is no requirement for any coding knowledge, it always helps to understand how the fundamental infrastructures of the internet, websites, and digital platforms work.
