[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is delighted to be supporting a well-established and growing organisation in their search for a Lead Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and technically strong gas engineer looking to step into a leadership-focused position, supporting and developing a team while remaining hands-on across repair, maintenance, and installation work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of engineers across multiple sites
- Provide technical guidance across repair, installation, and maintenance
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
- Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards
- Support high-priority cases (including no heat / no hot water) where required
- Maintain excellent customer service standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement and team development
About You
- Proven experience within a technical engineering role (gas engineering preferred)
- Strong leadership skills with experience supporting or managing engineers
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic ability
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and motivate others
- Committed to delivering high-quality service and maintaining safety standards
- Keen to continue learning and developing professionally
Qualifications & Certifications
- CCN1 – Core Domestic Gas Safety
- CENWAT – Central Heating Boilers & Water Heaters
- CKR1 – Domestic Cookers
- HTR1 – Gas Fires & Wall Heaters
- UHW10 – G3 Unvented Hot Water Systems
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
- On-call rota available
- Occasional flexibility required for urgent support
- Overtime opportunities available
Salary & Benefits
- £48,800 – £54,800 (dependent on experience)
- 29 days holiday (including bank holidays)
