Cafe Assistant
About the role
A calming and restorative space to unwind between treatments, The Orchard Bar offers a seasonally inspired, wheat-free menu using organic ingredients from Daylesford Farm. Our in-house nutritional chef oversees the daily changing menu, focusing on fresh, balanced and nutritious dishes created with optimal wellbeing in mind. As a Café Assistant and host you will be responsible for meeting and greeting our guests on arrival and deliver an extraordinary level of customer service and experience for our customers.
This role is 32 hours per week including weekends.
Salary:£13.11 per hour plus tronc
Responsibilities
- Assisting customers with all requirements by offering suggestions and demonstrating great menu knowledge.
- Providing excellent service to each guest who visits the Spa and Cafe, ensuring that all guest needs are exceeded at all times
- Monitor the open dining section of the cafe, estimating waiting times for guests and ensuring that their needs are met while they are waiting.
- Ensure you are up to date with menu offering and produce and love food!
- Your natural confidence will enable you to understand calm and clear instruction during busy periods.
- Work diligently to achieve outstanding service quality

Skills you will bring
- Previous experience in a cafe environment or hospitality and catering industry would be highly advantageous but not essential.
- Exceptional communication skills with a warm and approachable manner.
- A proactive approach to delivering luxury-level customer service.
- Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise in a busy environment.
- A love for hospitality and wellness and connecting with people.
- Flexibility to work weekends, and some special events.
- A team player with a sense of humour and a can-do attitude
