Job Description

Job title: Mental Healthcare Assistant - Day Shifts

Location: Dorchester

Salary: £14 - £22 P/H

### The role

- Assist patients with daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

- Aid in patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to prevent pressure ulcers

- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse

- Serve meals and assist with feeding when necessary

- Help maintain a clean and organised patient environment, including changing linens and tidying rooms

- Provide emotional support to patients and families, offering companionship and empathy

- Assist with basic medical procedures, such as wound dressing changes and catheter care

- Transport patients within the facility for tests, procedures, or appointments

- Document patient information and report changes in condition to nursing staff

- Restock supplies, maintain equipment, and assist with administrative tasks to ensure efficient healthcare operations
