Quality Assurance Coordinator For Training

The core responsibility of the Quality Assurance Coordinator for Training is to implement systems and processes to ensure the highest standards of training and assessment in line with awarding body requirements and professional standards of practice.

  • Closing Date: November 19, 2025
  • Location: Regional office to be confirmed (with regular meetings in Belfast)
  • Salary: £30,364 - 33,984 per annum
  • Contract: Full-time
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week

About the role

The Quality Assurance Coordinator for Training implements quality assurance systems and processes to ensure the highest standards of training and assessment in line with awarding body requirements and professional standards of practice.

Key Responsibilities

OCNNI endorsed and accredited courses:

  • Implement internal quality assurance (IQA) strategy for all accredited programmes.
  • Ensure delivery and assessment meet awarding body requirements.
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct moderation sampling, regional site visits, learner interviews, and assessment observations.
  • Coordinate assessor support, standardisation meetings, and training.
  • Manage registration, certification, and learner certificates.
  • Support external moderation preparation.
  • Develop new qualifications, learner materials, and resources.
  • Maintain systems, policies, and portfolio storage in line with awarding body standards.
  • Represent the organisation as guided by the Senior Leader for Quality Assurance.

Ulster University Level 4 Certificate in Community Youth Studies:

  • Support course coordinator with module delivery and assessment.
  • Provide student support and pastoral care.
  • Explore widening access module opportunities.

Youth Employability – YouthStart:

  • Organise regional ‘Big Skills’ and tailored employability workshops.
  • Coordinate regional showcase, “Let’s Talk,” and celebration events.

General:

  • Participate in fundraising and in-service training.
  • Contribute to membership development and occasional evening cover (for Belfast staff).

Essential Criteria

  • JNC Youth Work Qualified
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a youth worker
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a tutor and assessor (youth work)

  • Internal Verification Qualified
