The role involves conducting various surveys, reporting, and environmental assessments. About the role

We are looking for early career ecologists that are looking for their next role. If you would like gain survey and reporting experience whilst help us deliver our diverse ecology workload across theing country, we would like to hear from you.

Our spans a range of sectors and projects and you will gain experience in a wide range of survey techniques and project environments. Working with our team of experienced ecologists you will gain experience in a range of surveys including:

  • UK habs and phase 1 habitat surveys
  • PBRA
  • Bat activity surveys
  • NVC
  • Aquatic plant surveys
  • Survey preparation
  • GIS
  • Reporting and environmental assessment

Experience and qualifications

Due to our diverse workload we are interested in ecologists with a range of experience. Some of the attributes we are looking for are:

  • An honours degree in a related field (essential)
  • Membership of a professional institute
  • Willingness to travel
  • Full driving licence
  • Willingness to work unsociable hours and work away from home
  • GIS skills
  • Previous ECoW experience (desirable)
  • Protected species survey experience
  • CSCS/ PTS (desirable)
