Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons as a Year 2 Teacher, in line with the national curriculum.
- Support pupils’ development in reading, writing, and mathematics, building confidence and independence.
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, using data to inform planning and targeted support.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning and engagement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and carers to support academic and personal development.
- Prepare pupils for end of Key Stage 1 expectations and assessments.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures and school policies are followed at all times.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 2.
- Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment expectations.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- The ability to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
