FULL DESCRIPTION

School Cleaner – Washington (Part-Time)

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to join a welcoming school in Washington on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with school cleaning experience who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in an educational setting. The role follows a set working pattern of 15:00–17:30 Monday to Thursday and 15:00–17:00 on Fridays, running until Summer 2026 with the potential for a permanent contract thereafter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out cleaning duties across the school as a School Cleaner, including classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas.
  • Ensure all areas are cleaned to a high standard in line with health and safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively.
  • Follow cleaning schedules and complete daily and periodic tasks as required.
  • Report any maintenance issues or health and safety concerns promptly.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the school day as a School Cleaner.
  • Adhere to safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times.

Working Pattern

  • Monday to Thursday: 15:00 – 17:30
  • Friday: 15:00 – 17:00

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Previous experience working as a School Cleaner or in a similar cleaning role within a school setting.
  • A strong understanding of cleaning standards, hygiene practices, and health and safety regulations.
