Clinical Practice Educator - Registered Nurse
Wimbledon, London – Office Based
Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
£45,000 – £48,000 per annum
About the Role
As a Clinical Practice Educator, you will design, deliver and evaluate clinical training programmes that support workforce development and ensure compliance with current best practice, legislation and regulatory requirements.
You will deliver both mandatory and specialist clinical training, supporting staff who care for individuals with complex healthcare needs including tracheostomy, spinal injury and enteral feeding requirements.
Working closely with clinical leaders and service managers, you will identify learning needs, support clinical induction and contribute to continuous improvement of training programmes.
This is an office-based role in Wimbledon, delivering primarily face-to-face training.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deliver and evaluate clinical training programmes
- Deliver mandatory and specialist clinical training across complex care
- Provide competency assessments for staff supporting complex clients
- Support clinical induction and onboarding of new staff
- Ensure training reflects current evidence-based practice and regulatory standards
- Work collaboratively with clinical teams to identify learning needs
- Maintain accurate training records and support compliance monitoring
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of training materials
- Promote a culture of clinical excellence and patient safety
Training Areas May Include

- Suctioning techniques
- Paediatric complex care

- PEG feeding and enteral nutrition
- Medication administration

Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse with active NMC registration
- Experience supporting individuals with tracheostomies and complex airway needs
- Experience delivering training, mentoring or supporting staff development
- Strong knowledge of clinical governance and patient safety principles
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to engage and support learners with varying experience levels
Desirable Experience
- Teaching or training qualification (e.g. Level 3 Award in Education and Training)
- Experience developing clinical training materials or workshops
- Experience within community healthcare, complex care or homecare services
- Experience conducting competency assessments and clinical supervision
