We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Manager with excellent motivational skills to lead and develop the teams within our operation, ensuring the provision of exceptional service to our customers and optimum efficiency of warehouse operations.
Job description:
• Managers in storage and warehousing plan, • organise, direct and co-ordinate the activities and resources necessary for the safe and efficient receipt, • storage and warehousing of goods and for the maintenance of stocks at an optimal level.
Entry requirements of this job:
• Degree in Relevant Subject.
Required skills:
- • Experience of working within a warehouse environment.
- • FLT Licence preferred.
- • Knowledge of warehouse/ stock management systems.
- • Proven experience of supervising / managing a team.
- • A good communicator both verbal and written.
- • Good I.T skills.
- • A flexible team-based approach.
- • General awareness of health and safety.
Tasks required by this job include:
- • liaises with production, • maintenance, sales and other departments to determine the materials and other items required for current and future production schedules and sales commitments.
- • reviews, develops and implements stock control, • handling and distribution policies to maximise use of space, money, labour and other resources.
- • advises purchasing department on type, quality and quantity of goods required and dates by which they must be available;
- • prepares reports on expenditure and advises on materials and parts standardisation, future stores and stock control policies;
- • decides on storage conditions for items, allocates warehouse space and arranges for regular stock inspections to detect deterioration or damage.
- • Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organising, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals.
- • Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilisation, inventory management, gate processes, and shipping.
- • Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
- • Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.
- • Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met.
- • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
