Commercial Director

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] has been designing and producing a vast range of technical textiles for numerous market areas worldwide for 160 years including automotive, construction, agricultural and industrial applications.

The business is now seeking to appoint a new Commercial Director to the business, to lead the growth of existing and new products internationally, which will include the development of new markets.

Strategic responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic leadership of the commercial function, its development and management of teams
  • Revenue Growth & Profit Improvement for the business through the execution of sales, marketing and pricing plans
  • Client & Stakeholder Management with key customers, suppliers and other external stakeholders such as partners and customer industry regulators
  • Overall Financial & Performance Management of the commercial budgeting process, forecasts and broader activities, including appropriate risk management

We are looking for an experienced Commercial leader who ideally has worked in technical sales within an international sales environment. Whilst it would be advantageous to have an understanding of technical textiles, we will consider candidates from a variety of complex manufacturing environments.

The successful candidate will have the ability to think strategically and develop long term business plans, with demonstrable experience of driving business development, market expansion and revenue growth in an industrial business.

They will also have strong financial acumen, with the ability to influence & negotiate with suppliers and customers to the benefit of our business.

Finally, they will have first-class people skills, strong management capability and the ability to inspire and motivate those around them.
