About Nairn's Oatcakes

At [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk], we believe the best things in life stand the test of time. Since 1896, we’ve been crafting wholesome, natural oat-based snacks, building on a heritage of quality and simplicity. Today, as the UK’s largest oatcake producer and a trusted gluten-free brand, our range is enjoyed by customers in over 40 countries.

Our strategic plan sees us evolving from SME to large company status. This transition brings exciting challenges and opportunities, and we’re looking for a Finance Director to lead us through this pivotal phase.

The role

The Finance Director is a key member of the Operating Board, reporting to the Managing Director. This is a hands-on leadership role with accountability for finance, IT, and governance.  This role is critical in steering the organisation through regulatory complexities and aligning technology and financial strategies to support business growth.

You will be a strategic partner to both the Operating Board and the Managing Director, driving alignment between operational execution and long-term goals.

The candidate

- Degree-qualified with a recognised finance qualification (CA or equivalent).

- Proven track record in a senior finance leadership role, ideally in manufacturing or FMCG.

- Experience overseeing IT operations, including ERP implementations or significant digital transformation projects.

- Strong understanding of financial compliance, governance, and regulatory requirements.

- Familiarity with export markets and grant funding processes is a plus.

You will be a forward thinker with a proactive, hand-on, collaborative approach to leadership. We are looking for a Finance Director with strong communication and influencing skills across all levels of an organisation.
