Job Summary
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Accounts Payable Administrator to join our team. Acting as an integral part of the Finance team, the Accounts Payable Administrator is responsible for managing the Purchase Ledger, with support from the Financial Accountant and Financial Controller.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Sort, code and post all invoices and author advances on the Navision GL system, ensuring accurate coding and descriptive information
- Monitoring supplier accounts, including PO approvals, to ensure timely settlement of liabilities as they fall due
- Preparation of weekly payment runs, including BACs, manual payments and international transfers
- Application of payments on supplier accounts
- Allocation of direct debits against supplier invoices
- Supplier account set-up and amendment
- Preparation and sending of remittance advice for manual payments
- Investigation and resolution of internal and external AP mailbox queries
- Preparation of supplier reconciliations, with particular focus on Production vendor accounts
- Maintaining historical Accounts Payable records
- Opening and distributing Finance mail
- Logging and managing approval process for Finance department purchase invoices
- Assisting with resolution of audit queries relating to AP
- Provide AP process training to all new joiners
- Assisting the Financial Accountant and Financial Controller with update and application of Accounts Payable processes and controls
- Other ad-hoc tasks as required
To be successful in this role you must:
- Have previous Accounts Payable experience;
- Be hard working, intuitive and adaptable;
- Be a team player, personable and dynamic;
- Have excellent Excel and administration skills;
- Be a good communicator and have demonstrable business partnering skills;
- Have demonstrated attention to detail, time management and organisational skills.
