Healthcare Assistant- Nights, Skelmersdale, Lancashire

Pay Rate: £14.50 - £18.00 Per hour

Shifts: Full Time & Part Time | Nights | 10pm – 8am | Monday – Sunday

Job description

We are looking for kind, reliable Healthcare Assistants to join a dedicated care team supporting a young boy living at home with his family in Skelmersdale.

This is an overnight role where you will ensure he remains safe, comfortable, and settled throughout the night in the familiarity of his own home.

He enjoys:

  • Watching Bing
  • Listening to music and nursery rhymes
  • Creative play
  • Spending time with other children at nursery

At the start of your shift, he will usually already be asleep. Your role will focus on monitoring his wellbeing overnight and providing care and reassurance if he wakes.

During the night, you will support with:

  • Monitoring his safety and wellbeing
  • Repositioning and mobility support when required
  • Personal care if needed
  • Settling and reassurance if he wakes

You will help maintain a safe and calm environment while his family rest.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3 months’ care experience
  • Confident with medication, personal care, and Moving & Handling
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Comfortable working with children
  • Pet friendly
  • Reliability for night shifts
