Healthcare Assistant, Salford, Greater Manchester

Pay Rate: £14.00 - £17.00 Per hour

Shifts: Full Time | Days (7am – 7pm) and Part Time Nights (7pm – 7am)

Job description

We are looking for dedicated Healthcare Assistants to support an outgoing young man in his home environment on a 2:1 care basis.

He enjoys:

  • Spending time with his family and care team
  • Exploring the community
  • Watching football (he’s a big Manchester United fan)
  • Building Lego
  • Playing PlayStation
  • Listening to rap music

In this role, you will provide person-centred care, support his daily routines, and assist with clinical interventions. Night shifts will involve supporting his bedtime routine, delivering specialised care, and creating a calm, restful environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing high-quality, person-centred care
  • Supporting with personal care respectfully and with dignity
  • Administering medication as required
  • Assisting with Moving & Handling
  • Supporting daily routines and community access
  • Monitoring wellbeing and responding to care needs
  • Tracheostomy care
  • Ventilation management
  • Oral suctioning
  • Enteral feeding

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3 months’ care experience
  • Confident with medication, personal care, and Moving & Handling
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Comfortable working around pets
  • Full UK driving licence
